Proginov presents its new version 5.0 at the ERP Trade show

The next Salons Solutions (integrated management solutions) event will be held from 20 to 22 September 2016 at the Paris Porte de Versailles exhibition centre. Representatives from Proginov will be manning stand C14-E15 located in the ERP area to present the innovative features of its new version 5.0.

Proginov is celebrating 20 years in the business with the release of Version 5.0, the most functionally-advanced platform in the company’s history. Design and ergonomics go hand in hand with a new Cloud hosting portal, as well as an ERP-integrated search engine, a new WMS and an ever-expanding range of tablet solutions.

The ERP's internal search engine

The growing volume of information and documents makes searches increasingly complex. To address this, version 5.0 of Proginov's ERP solution features its own internal search engine. To make it as user-friendly and intuitive as possible, its design is based on the Google model, with a single search zone for finding all types of information. 
This "universal search" function allows users to locate information in the customer, supplier and product environments, well as the EDM environment. The results list specifies the environment in which the sequence of letters entered has been found to help the user quickly identify the most relevant result. From the results list, the user can decide what action to take by exploiting the ERP integration. For example, by selecting a customer, users can consult the customer's details, call them, send an email, enter a quote, etc. By selecting a product, users can consult stocks, order the product, launch manufacture, etc.
The other feature of this search engine is its standard auto-complete function. When users enter the first letter of a town, customer or product, the tool will start looking for and suggesting the most relevant information. This functionality is integrated into the main options: product management, supplier management, price calculation, item stock, order entry, order history, etc.

Logistics operations: the WMS revolution

With version 5.0, Proginov presents a new, entirely redesigned WMS with integrated logistics management. Its purpose is to manage and monitor all warehouse flows.
To do so, a controller has been designed to analyse warehouse requirements and create logistics instructions on the basis of pre-defined scenarios. There is a permanent link between the ERP and logistics. If orders are modified, alerts are generated in the logistics console to manage these changes. The console provides the warehouse manager with a comprehensive overview of flows: the manager can intervene in logistics operations, prioritise them, generate labels or task orders, organise/block a delivery round, a haulier, a product, a customer, etc. The manager can also monitor the activities of connected operators in real time.
With the mobility function, instructions will be sent through quickly to operators: picking with operator guidance, packaging, loading, etc. The mobile WMS is compatible with a variety of equipment, such as hand-held scanners or large on-board trolley screen terminals: no need for paper!
From the creation of the customer order by sales administration, through to the processing of operations by the operator, information relating to the progress of the order is entirely transparent. The WMS thus facilitates operations at every level of the company and not just in the warehouse.

The mobile offer

Proginov continues to develop its WMS mobile offer: in stores with a tablet cash register, in workshops with after-sales service management and for reps with the sales force application.
