Protecting sensitive information
What is health data?
Health data is personal information about both the physical and psychological aspects of an individual's health. It is classified as "sensitive" as the disclosure or incorrect use thereof may constitute an invasion of the privacy of the individuals involved. Such data is increasingly computerised. In order to better protect sensitive information, the French Data Protection Act and the Healthcare Code govern the collection, processing and storage of such data.
Legal requirements for a secure, sustainable model
With the objective of guaranteeing the confidentiality and security of personal health data, the legislation requires all providers of hosting services for these data to obtain a ministerial accreditation, governed by decree No. 2006-6 of 4 January 2006. Consequently, this accreditation recognises Proginov's hosting services as complying with the ethical, legal, technical and financial criteria assessed by ASIP Santé (French agency for shared health information systems).
Proginov is a certified host of personal health data collected through applications provided by our clients for medical monitoring purposes.
This hosting service is designed for all types of healthcare professional and institution, as well as companies working to create specialised solutions in this field.
Proginov's hosting model has been approved by the Ministry for Social Affairs, Healthcare and Women's Rights, recognising its compliance with the legal obligations in terms of data security and confidentiality, and reaffirming our reputation as a reliable, sustainable hosting provider.
Proginov also guarantees health professionals and their patients optimum processing, security, integrity, confidentiality, availability, back-up, monitoring and retrieval of sensitive data, together with the durability of the hosting solutions provided.
